Abstract submission

It is our pleasure to invite you to submit an abstract for the International Conference on Dual Disorders 2021 (ICDD 2021), taking place in The Hague, the Netherlands, on 7, 8 and 9 October 2021.  It is the place to present your recent research, findings and innovations in the treatment of Dual Disorders. Language is English.

Submission deadline: 1 May 2021 

Please read below the guidelines per presentation type, before you start your submission!

Workshop submission

A workshop is a hands-on session to provide a platform for discussing (new) interventions, service models or dilemma´s in an interactive atmosphere concerning a specific topic. If necessary the number of participants can be limited. Duration: 1 hour.

Abstract format and Content
▪ All mandatory fields must be filled out.
▪ Abstracts must not exceed more than 200 words. The system will inform you if you exceed the word limit.
▪ Please provide us with the following information:

o A title which clearly indicates the nature of the workshop
o Please select a topic appropriate to your workshop from the list (max. 1).
o Short description of the workshop (max. 200 words)
o Contact details of workshop leader
o Contact details of the speakers
o Add the email addresses of the speakers by the additional information tab

Mini-symposium submission

A mini-symposium can consist of lectures on new insights and developments, new treatments, recently completed research, implementation of research and/ or and discussion in an interactive atmosphere concerning a specific topic. Number of attendees: average 50-100. Language: English. Duration: 1 hour. A mini symposium consists of an introduction, followed by 2-3 speakers. You have to submit an abstract for the introduction of the symposium followed by sub abstracts of the speakers. 

Abstract format and Content

▪ All mandatory fields must be filled out.
▪ A mini symposium consist a maximum of 3 talks.
▪ Please provide us with the following information:

o A main title which clearly indicates the nature of the symposia Short description of the symposium (max. 20 words)
o Please select a topic appropriate to your workshop from the list (max. 1).
o Contact details / affiliations of symposium chairman and speakers
o Please add a general discription of the symposium (max. 400 words) followed by the titles and short abstract of the sub lectures (max. 200 words).
o Add the email addresses of the speakers by the additional information tab

Oral presentation

Accepted individual papers will be organized into thematic sessions. The content of your proposal should include all of the elements of a research, practice, or theory-focused work listed in the proposal submission form. Duration: 15 minutes including Q&A (10 minutes time to present).

Abstract Format and Content

▪ All mandatory fields must be filled out.
▪ Abstracts must not exceed more than 200 words. The system will inform you if you exceed the word limit.
▪ Please provide us with the following information:

o A main title which clearly indicates the nature of the abstract (max. 20 words)
o Indicate whether you prefer a poster or oral presentation
o Please select a topic appropriate to your abstract from the list (max. 1)
o Please use the following headings in your abstract so that the Scientific Committee can evaluate the quality and completeness of your abstract:

– Background / introduction
– Aims
– Methods / materials
– Results
– Summary / conclusion
– Figures may be submitted with a maximum file size is 10 MB with a resolution of 300 dpi. Figures are allowed in the following formats: PNG, GIF, JPG. You may upload 2 images maximum.

Poster Presentation

Authors selected for a poster presentation will be asked to produce and bring a printed poster for display in the poster area at the conference. All participants are encouraged to visit the posters and contact the main author during the conference when it is feasible. During the poster sessions authors are required to be present at their poster.
